Forehead filler is usually one short appointment, but I'd leave about a week in Seoul and book it early in your stay, so an early problem can show while you're still near the clinic.

Forehead Filler Korea: Days? Cost, Reviews, Methods | Pascal

Planning a forehead filler Korea trip, and worried about who helps you if something feels wrong after you fly home?

Read this before you choose a flight.

You'll know what decides the cost, which claims in reviews hold up, which methods suit a forehead, and how many days to leave. That lets you pick a plan that fits your forehead, your budget and your leave.

Hello, I'm Dr. Kang Kyoungjin, Representative Director at Pascal Clinic in Seoul.

I hold a PhD in anatomy and once taught it at a medical school. For forehead volume I use your own fat or dermal filler, chosen by your anatomy, and our filler prices are published per session.

I'm writing this because forehead filler in Korea is easy to treat as an errand for the last day of a holiday, and the forehead is a poor place for that habit.

It's usually one short appointment, but I'd leave about a week in Seoul and book the injection early in your stay. An early problem can then show while you're still near the clinic.

Send a front photo and a side photo on WhatsApp with your travel dates, and ask which day of the trip to book. A coordinator passes them to your surgeon and replies with options and the matching price-list lines.

Why the forehead needs more caution than most filler areas

The arteries that run up the forehead from above the eye connect with the blood supply of the eye itself. Filler that enters one of these vessels can block blood flow. The FDA's dermal filler guidance lists unintended injection into a blood vessel among the serious risks, with possible skin damage, vision problems or stroke.

This is rare, but it's the reason I'd plan any forehead filler in Korea around time near the clinic. Forehead skin also sits thin over bone, so an uneven placement tends to show when light hits it. The muscle underneath moves every time you raise your brows.

Doctor's note

I began in anatomy, and I built my practice on it. Good results start from an exact understanding of structure, and feel can't tell you where a vessel runs in your forehead. Injecting there is the plainest example I know. A forehead also has to keep moving well after treatment, because it has to work well before it can look good.

How many days should you plan for forehead filler in Korea?

I'd think about three clocks. Swelling and bruising usually ease within about a week. A blocked vessel usually shows early, within hours to the first days. The contour often needs roughly two weeks to settle enough to judge.

So a long weekend is tight. You could have the injection and fly, but you'd spend the riskiest days in an airport, far from anyone who knows what went into your forehead. About a week covers the first two clocks. If you can stay two weeks, you can also judge the contour in Seoul.

The calendar matters as well. We're open Monday to Friday 10:00–19:00 and Saturday 10:00–17:00, and closed on Sundays and public holidays. A Saturday afternoon forehead filler Seoul appointment puts your first full day after treatment on a day the clinic is closed. Early in the week is the stronger choice, and it's worth checking the Korean holiday calendar against your dates.

Say you're 54, flying in from Vancouver for ten days to see family in Seoul. I'd look at a weekday in your first few days, keep the next two days light, and avoid strenuous workouts, saunas and heavy forehead pressure for the first days. Family dinners are fine. You'd still have most of a week in the city before your flight.

There's no fixed rule on how soon you can fly after filler, so ask your surgeon about your own flight. If you're adding something else to the trip, plan each one separately. Our Mira Dry guide for underarm sweating covers a non-surgical example. A surgical trip runs on a different clock, as the cheekbone reduction surgery travel guide shows.

Forehead filler methods for a flat or hollow forehead

The right method for forehead filler in Korea starts with what's actually bothering you. The question I'd put to you first: with your brows relaxed, is the forehead flat, or is it sitting low?

MethodOften considered whenEffect on your trip
Dermal fillerThe forehead looks flat or hollowAbout a week is my suggestion
Your own fatYou want volume from your own tissueFat is harvested first, so ask about extra days
Botulinum toxinLines come from muscle movementAdds no volume
Incisional forehead liftBrows and skin have droppedPlan around two weeks in Korea

Filler products differ too. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons describes several types, including hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxylapatite. Hyaluronic acid matters for a traveler because an enzyme, hyaluronidase, can usually break it down if there's a problem or you dislike the shape. Other types generally can't be dissolved that way, so ask which product is proposed and why.

Pascal doesn't list silicone forehead implants. If your concern is more about the width of your face than your forehead, read about cheekbone reduction for a softer face before you plan around the forehead.

When I wouldn't put filler in your forehead on this trip

Saying no is part of planning a forehead filler Korea trip. These are the situations where I'd steer you elsewhere or suggest another date.

  • Your brows have dropped. Volume on the forehead doesn't lift a low brow. It can make the area look heavier, and a lift is the better conversation.
  • Your lines only appear when you move. Those come from muscle. Filler laid over a moving muscle answers the wrong question.
  • You've had forehead filler or fat and don't know what it was. Adding more on top of an unknown product makes both the shape and any problem harder to read.
  • Your flight leaves within a day or two. I'd move the injection or skip it for this trip.

Risks and side effects of forehead filler, including after you fly home

Common temporary reactions are swelling, redness, bruising and tenderness, and they usually fade within days. Less often, people get lumps, infection, or filler that shifts from where it was placed. A blocked vessel is rare and serious.

As general medicine, it's usually wiser to wait or skip filler if you have an infection or inflammation on the forehead, a recent laser or peel in that area, a known allergy to a filler ingredient, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell your surgeon about isotretinoin and any blood-thinning medicine.

Once you're home, sudden severe pain, skin turning white or mottled, or any change in vision needs an emergency department right away. Tell them dermal filler was injected into your forehead, then contact the clinic. For slower problems such as a lump or lasting redness, see a doctor at home and take a daylight photo for comparison.

Before you leave Seoul, ask for the product name, the amount and the injected area written down. That note is what a doctor at home will need most. At booking, also ask whether a recheck visit is part of the plan and who you contact after you fly.

Your surgeon explains the risks before you decide, and suitability is confirmed at an in-person exam. Individual results vary.

If you've had filler before, add the product name and rough date to your WhatsApp message, if you know them. Then ask how close to your flight the injection should sit.

What decides the cost of forehead filler in Seoul?

The cost of forehead filler in Korea moves with a few things you can name in advance:

  • Product: the type of filler and how it's priced per session.
  • Amount and area: a small hollow differs from a full forehead, and adding temples or the brow area changes it again.
  • Earlier treatment: old filler may need attention first.
  • Sessions: one visit, or a second visit once the contour has settled.
  • Days in Seoul: a longer stay adds nights, and your budget should count them.

Our published list is in Korean won, before 10% VAT, and final quotes follow your exam because the extent depends on your anatomy. To get the figure for your case, ask on WhatsApp what it would cost, and include a photo of your forehead.

Korea forehead filler reviews: which claims hold up

Reviews of Korean forehead filler tend to repeat three claims, and they deserve different answers.

"It takes ten minutes and you can fly right after." Half true. The appointment is often short, but the early watch period is what your trip should be built around.

"If you don't like it, it just dissolves." True only for hyaluronic acid, and it takes a further injection of the enzyme. It doesn't help with other filler types.

"A rounder forehead always looks younger." Not reliably. On a low brow or a heavy upper face, extra volume can look bulky. Proportion across the whole face matters, and jaw position plays a part too, which is one reason people read about revision double jaw surgery when an earlier change didn't sit well.

Your first message can be one photo

Send it on WhatsApp with one question: is my forehead a filler case, or is something else going on? When you come to Sinsa Station, Exit 8, your surgeon examines your forehead and recommends the approach that fits.

Frequently asked questions

How long does forehead filler usually last?

It depends on the product and on your own tissue. Hyaluronic acid filler is temporary and generally lasts months to a year or more, and some material can stay longer than the visible effect. Ask which product is proposed and what to expect from it.

Does a forehead filler injection hurt?

Most people describe pressure and brief stinging rather than strong pain, and sensitivity differs from person to person. Ask about numbing options when you book. Severe or sudden pain during or after injection is a warning sign and should be reported at once.

Can I get a first opinion before traveling to Seoul?

Yes. Message on WhatsApp with your goal and clear front and side photos. A coordinator passes them to your surgeon and replies with options and the matching price-list lines. Your surgeon still confirms the plan at an in-person exam.

Can I combine forehead filler with other treatments on one trip?

Often it's possible, but each treatment has its own recovery clock, and swelling in one area can make another harder to judge. Tell the team everything you're considering and plan the trip around the treatment that needs the most time.

I went to get MiraDry treatment, and I liked that the building was huge and the nurses and receptionists were all friendly. Maybe because the director is so cheerful, they were joking around with each other, which created a great atmosphere that really helped ease my tension and made the procedure easier. I also liked that the director didn't seem authoritarian. Getting the anesthetic injection really, really hurts, but... once the anesthesia took effect, the procedure didn't hurt at all. It seems to take about 30 minutes for each side (left and right), and since the anesthesia takes about 10 or 15 minutes to activate, it's probably best to allow at least two hours for the visit. The procedure itself really didn't hurt, and I actually dozed off lol. It was great that the director kept checking to make sure I wasn't in pain throughout the session, and the nurses massaged my arms to make sure I was okay!
