Planning a temple filler Korea trip on limited days, and worried about flying home bruised, or with a problem nobody nearby can check?
Read this before you lock in your flights.
You'll know what decides the cost, what reviews get right and wrong, which methods can fill a hollow temple, and how many days to leave. That should help you choose a plan that fits your face, your leave and your budget.
Hello, I'm Dr. Kang Kyoungjin, Representative Director at Pascal Clinic in Seoul.
I hold a PhD in anatomy and taught the subject at a university before moving into plastic surgery. At Pascal, 25 dermatologists from Russia have trained in jawline and lip filler techniques, and our price list is public on the site. We're a short walk from Sinsa Station, Exit 8.
I wrote this because many people plan this trip around the injection, which is the short part, and leave no room for the days after it.
Temple filler in Korea is an outpatient injection, so a few days in Seoul can work. Book it early in your stay, with open clinic days still ahead of you before you fly.
For a first step, send a clear front photo, a side photo and your travel dates on WhatsApp, then ask whether your hollowing looks like a filler question at all. A coordinator passes your photos to your surgeon and replies with options.

Temples usually sink because fat in the area thins with age or low body weight. Bone shape and the muscle underneath play a part too. As the area hollows, the upper face can look narrower and the cheekbones can look wider by contrast.
So the first thing to settle is what you're seeing: a hollow, or a wide cheekbone. Filler won't narrow bone. If width is your real concern, softening wide cheekbones is a separate conversation, and a surgery trip for cheekbone reduction needs a very different plan from temple filler in Korea.
The temple looks like a smooth patch of skin. Under it lie fat, fascia, the temporalis muscle, and branches of arteries and veins. I began in anatomy, and I still believe good results start from an exact understanding of structure, not from feel. At the temple, that means knowing which layer the gel is in and what runs beside it.
You may have seen "filler in temples to lift eyes" online. In some faces, support at the temple can make the outer brow area look a little more open. It doesn't raise a drooping brow or eyelid, which is a surgical question.

Which methods can fill a hollow temple?
Two options on our menu can add volume here: dermal filler injections and facial fat grafting. Pascal doesn't list implants.
| Method | What it is | What it means for your trip |
|---|---|---|
| Dermal filler | A gel such as hyaluronic acid, injected under the skin | No sauna, hot steam or hard exercise for a day |
| Facial fat grafting | Your own fat, placed by cannula under local or sleep anesthesia | Light daily routine in 3–5 days, usually 1–2 visits |
For forehead volume, I choose between your own fat and dermal filler by your anatomy, and the same reasoning applies at the temple. Forehead filler and temple filler are often discussed together for that reason.
For temple filler in Korea on a short trip, the gel is simpler to fit into your days. It's temporary, and hyaluronic acid can usually be broken down with an enzyme if needed. Fat involves a second treated area where it's taken from, some of the graft may not survive, and lumps can form.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons describes several filler materials, so ask for the product name before you agree to anything. Then ask how much is planned. Pillow face filler photos usually come from too much volume across the whole face, and adding more to one area won't correct that.
How many days should a temple filler Korea trip have?
There's no fixed number. My advice is to leave at least two open clinic days between the injection and your flight, because bruising and swelling are common in the first days. A bruise at the temple can also spread a little toward the eye.
Check the calendar first. We're open Monday to Friday 10:00–19:00 and Saturday 10:00–17:00, and closed on Sundays and public holidays. A Saturday injection and a Monday morning flight leave you with a closed clinic on the one day you might want to come back.
The aftercare shapes your holiday too. For the first day, skip hot steam rooms, saunas and hard exercise. You can wash your face and wear makeup from the next day, avoiding strong stimulation, and keep up sunscreen and moisturizer. A slow walk around Seoul fits that list, while an evening at a jjimjilbang doesn't.
If your only slot is the day before your flight, I would save the treatment for a later trip. Nothing about a hollow temple is urgent.
Say you have five nights in Seoul
Say your temples are hollow, you've never had filler, you land on Wednesday night and you fly out on Monday. Thursday morning becomes your exam, and you'd ask at booking whether an injection can follow the same day. Friday, the first-day restrictions are behind you.
Saturday is your last chance to return in person, so keep that morning light. Sunday is yours, with the clinic closed. By Monday you've had several days to see how your temples are settling before you board.
When you write to us, add any filler you've had before, with the product name and date if you know them, plus your flight-out day. Then ask on WhatsApp which appointment day still leaves you an open clinic day before you fly.

The method comes first, since fat grafting adds a harvest area and anesthesia that filler doesn't need. After that, the amount matters: how deep the hollows are, and whether both sides need the same volume. The product you and your surgeon choose changes the figure too.
The rest comes from your plan. Other areas treated in the same visit each add to the total, and so do your nights in Seoul. A second treatment on the same trip, such as Mira Dry for underarm sweat, has its own line on the list.
Our published list is in Korean won, before 10% VAT. Final quotes follow your exam, because the right procedure and extent rest on your anatomy. To get closer to your own figure, ask on WhatsApp what temple filler in Korea would cost for your case and attach a photo. The reply includes the matching price-list lines.
What do temple filler Korea reviews get right?
Three claims come up again and again when you read about temple filler in Korea, and each is only partly true.
"It barely hurts." Many people describe pressure more than sharp pain, because the gel can sit close to bone. It does feel odd so near your ear and eye, and how much it bothers you is personal.
Risks and side effects to know
"You'll look normal by dinner." That can happen, but it's the reason people get caught out. A bruise may appear later or look darker the next day, which is why the spare days matter.
"Filler always migrates, and you end up with filler face." Gel can shift, and placement and volume both affect that. The overfilled look most often comes from too much product over time, across many areas. A related claim, filler in cheeks to lift jowls, also runs ahead of the facts: cheek volume can soften shadows, but heavy jowls usually need a lifting approach.
What can go wrong after you fly home?
Swelling, bruising, redness and tenderness are common and usually temporary. Small lumps can occur, the same kind of problem people search for as lip filler nodules. Some settle by themselves, and some need a doctor's treatment.
In general, you should hold off if you have an infection or inflammation at the site, a recent laser or peel in the area, or an allergy to an ingredient. The same goes during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your surgeon about blood thinners and any earlier filler.
The rare, serious risk is gel entering or blocking a blood vessel, known as vascular occlusion. The FDA warns that injection into a blood vessel can cause skin damage, vision problems, blindness or stroke. This isn't unique to temples: searches like vascular occlusion lip filler or nose filler complications describe the same mechanism.
Sudden severe pain, skin turning white or blotchy, or any change in vision needs emergency care at once, wherever you are, airport included. Say that you've had filler, where, and when.
The CDC's medical tourism advice includes keeping copies of your records and planning follow-up before you travel. For temple filler in Korea, that means leaving Seoul with the product name, amount and treated areas. Before you go, also find a dermatologist or plastic surgeon at home who would see you if a lump appears weeks later.
Individual results vary. Your surgeon confirms suitability at an in-person exam and explains the risks before you decide.
Doctor's note
On a short trip, I would not ask for full correction of a deep hollow. Volume can be added on a later visit, while a problem near a vessel or a visible lump is much harder to deal with from another country. It has to work well for your whole face before one area is worth filling.

Frequently asked questions
Does temple filler hurt?
Most people describe pressure and an odd sensation near the bone more than sharp pain. How much it bothers you is personal, so ask what numbing options apply to the product planned for you.
Can I fly right after filler?
There's no single rule that fits everyone, so ask your surgeon about your flight date. I'd avoid booking it for the next day, mainly because you'd lose any chance to return in person if something concerns you.
How long does temple filler last?
Filler is temporary, and the body absorbs it gradually. The product, the amount and your own metabolism all move that time, so ask for the expected duration of the specific product proposed.
Can temple filler be dissolved if I don't like it?
Hyaluronic acid filler can usually be broken down with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Other filler materials don't respond to it, which is one more reason to get the product name before treatment.
Should I treat my forehead at the same time?
Only if your forehead has its own hollow or flatness. Treating both adds product and more areas to watch while you're traveling, so raise it at your exam and leave room in your plan for either answer.
