Trying to pin down Seoul dermal filler cost before you book a flight, and worried the number will grow once you're in the chair?
Read this before you start lining up quotes.
You'll know what decides the cost, which filler methods suit which areas, what reviews get right and wrong, and how recovery fits a short trip. That's enough to judge which plan fits your face and your budget.
Hello, I'm Dr. Kang Kyoungjin, Representative Director at Pascal Clinic in Seoul.
I hold an MD and a PhD in Anatomy, and I researched and taught anatomy at a university before moving into plastic surgery. Pascal publishes its price list in Korean won, before 10% VAT, with fillers listed per session. The clinic is a short walk from Sinsa Station Exit 8.
I wrote this because people tend to compare one line of a price list, while the final bill follows how much gel your face takes and where it goes.
Dermal filler in Seoul is priced by the gel, the amount, the number of areas and any follow-up visit. Final quotes follow your exam, because the right procedure and extent depend on your anatomy.
If you want a first read on your own face, send one clear front photo and one side photo on WhatsApp, and name the single area that bothers you most. Your own photos keep the conversation about your face from the first message.

Five things move the number, and a single price-list line shows only part of them.
| Factor | Why it moves the cost | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| The gel | Firmer gels hold structure like a chin; softer ones suit lips and thin skin | Which gel fits each area |
| The amount | A deep fold or hollow can take more gel than a fine line | How much your areas usually need |
| Number of areas | Each area adds to the session | Which area to treat first |
| VAT | Pascal's list prices are before 10% VAT | Whether the quote includes VAT |
| Follow-up | A top-up or a second look before you fly | Whether your dates allow it |
Anesthesia is a smaller factor for filler than for surgery. Many hyaluronic acid gels have lidocaine, a local anesthetic, mixed in, and numbing cream is common. Ask whether the gel planned for you contains it, especially if you have reacted to a local anesthetic before.
Days in Korea matter too. A longer stay leaves room for a second look before you fly, and a second visit can be its own line on a quote. Adding botulinum toxin or a lifting device to the same trip adds separate lines as well.
To get the figure for your case, ask on WhatsApp what it would cost for the areas you have in mind, listed in order of priority.
Filler methods: hyaluronic acid gel or your own fat
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons groups fillers into several types, from hyaluronic acid gels to longer-acting materials such as calcium hydroxylapatite and poly-L-lactic acid. Most facial work, including lip filler and under-eye filler, uses hyaluronic acid. It is a gel that binds water, and a doctor can dissolve it with an enzyme if needed.
At Pascal, filler is used for deep folds around the nose and mouth, hollows of the forehead, chin and under the eyes, and the line of the nose and chin. Gels differ in firmness. A firmer gel holds a chin or a nose line, and a softer one spreads in the lips or under thin skin. The FDA describes most dermal fillers as absorbable, which means results are temporary, so upkeep belongs in your budget from the start.
The other method is your own fat. I developed SAFI, a lifting fat-grafting technique, and Pascal offers facial fat grafting with liposuction. Fat is taken through a thin cannula and moved to where volume is missing, under local anesthesia or sedation. It involves a harvest, anesthesia and more downtime than a gel injection, and part of the moved fat is usually reabsorbed. On a quote, that means more lines and more days in Seoul.
Doctor's note
Before I think about which gel, I think about where the vessels run. The area between the brows, the side of the nose and the under-eye sit close to arteries that connect toward the eye. Good results start from an exact understanding of that structure, and I don't trust feel alone in those areas. That is why the amount for each area is a medical decision first and a cost line second.
Say you have five days in Seoul
Say you're in your early thirties, with hollows under your eyes and a short chin, and you have five days in Seoul on a trip you've already booked. I'd look at the under-eye first. The skin there is thin, so the choice of gel matters more than the volume, and less is usually safer than more. The chin usually takes a firmer gel. That's two areas, possibly two gels, and your quote would reflect both.
If you also mention a heavy look around the eyes, I'd ask whether it's lost volume or a lid that sits low. Filler doesn't lift a lid, and paying for gel there would not change what bothers you.
Is filler the right fix for what you see in the mirror?
Volume loss is what filler treats. Some of what people want to fix is something else, and spending on filler there adds cost without solving the problem.
When the cheeks and jawline sag, adding gel can make the lower face heavier. Lifting is a separate conversation, and the two ultrasound devices are compared in Ultherapy versus Ultherapy Prime.
Hooded upper lids are another case. An eyelid is a moving mechanism, and it has to work well before it can look good, so a heavy lid is usually a surgical question. Buried-suture double eyelid surgery is one option when the skin is thin.
Depressed acne or injury scars sometimes respond to filler, but deeper scars often need a different plan. Our guide to scar revision surgery in Seoul covers that. Revision makes a scar flatter, narrower or less visible, and it never erases it.
If you planned to fit body work into the same trip, arm contouring for loose skin is its own surgical plan, with its own recovery and its own line on a quote.
What do filler reviews get right, and what do they miss?
Most threads about Seoul dermal filler cost repeat the same four claims.
The price you saw online is what you pay. Partly true. Published list prices are a real starting point, but at Pascal they are before 10% VAT, and the total follows how many areas and how much gel you need.
You can fly the next day. Often true for gel filler, since there is no wound to heal. Swelling and small bruises at the injection points are common for a few days, and they may still show on the flight.
Hyaluronic acid can always be dissolved, so nothing can really go wrong. Half true. Dissolving with an enzyme is possible for hyaluronic acid. The most serious problem, a blocked blood vessel, is still an emergency where minutes count.
Korean filler looks more natural. The look comes from the gel and the amount chosen for your face, and those are chosen at a consultation. Any filler can look overdone when too much goes into one area.
How long is recovery before you can fly home?
For gel filler, recovery is mostly about swelling, redness and bruising where the needle or cannula went in. For many people it settles over several days, and lip filler tends to swell more than a chin or forehead.
Pascal's aftercare guidance for fillers is to skip hot packs, saunas and hard exercise for a day, to wait until the next day for face washing and makeup, and to keep sunscreen and moisturizer on the area. You can still walk around Seoul in the meantime.
Fat grafting takes longer, because there is a harvest site as well as the face to heal. If you're weighing fat grafting against Seoul dermal filler cost, count the extra recovery days into that comparison.
For your calendar, book the session early in your stay and leave a few days before your flight, so bruising has time to fade.
Risks and side effects to know
The common reactions are temporary: swelling, redness, tenderness and bruising at the injection points, and sometimes small firm spots that soften over days to weeks. Individual results vary.
Some people should wait or skip filler for now. That usually includes anyone with an infection, cold sore or inflammation at the area, pregnancy or breastfeeding, a known allergy to an ingredient such as lidocaine, or a recent laser or peel on the same spot. If you take blood thinners, say so, and don't stop a prescribed medicine on your own. Your surgeon confirms suitability at an in-person exam.
The rare but serious risk is gel entering or pressing on a blood vessel. The FDA warns that this can block blood flow and lead to skin damage and, in rare cases, vision problems or blindness. Fat grafting is surgery, and surgery carries risks such as bleeding, infection and inflammation, which your surgeon explains before you decide.
After you fly home, sudden severe pain, skin that turns pale or dusky, or any change in vision needs emergency care at once, wherever you are. For slower problems such as a lump, unevenness or swelling that won't settle, see a local doctor and message us on WhatsApp as well.
If you've had filler before, tell us on WhatsApp roughly when and in which areas, along with your travel dates. Old filler and a short stay both change what makes sense to plan, so ask whether your dates leave room for a second visit before your flight.

Frequently asked questions
Does the filler price on Pascal's pricing page include VAT?
No. The published prices are the clinic's list prices in Korean won, before 10% VAT. Final quotes follow your exam, once the gel, amount and areas are set for your face.
Which doctor would I see for fillers?
Fillers are among Dr. Kang Kyoungjin's areas, along with eyelid surgery, fat grafting, lifting and skin. You meet your surgeon at your consultation.
Can hyaluronic acid filler be dissolved if I don't like it?
In general, yes: hyaluronic acid gel can be broken down with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Other filler types, such as calcium hydroxylapatite or poly-L-lactic acid, can't be dissolved this way, so ask which gel is planned for each area.
Can I combine filler with botulinum toxin on the same trip?
Both are on Pascal's menu, and each appears as its own line on the price list. Whether doing them together suits your face is a question for the exam, so mention both in your first message.
How do I get to Pascal Clinic?
