Hyaluronic Filler Korea: Your First Day and Flight

A hyaluronic filler Korea visit fits a short trip: treatment is one clinic visit, Pascal's aftercare asks for one day without saunas or hard exercise, and the rest is clinic hours and follow-up at home.

Hyaluronic Filler Korea: Your First Day and Flight | Pascal

What most people actually worry about is the flight home: a bruise or swelling on the plane, and nobody to ask once they're back. So this plan is built backwards from your departure, with the follow-up question answered before you book.

Before you buy a ticket, send two things on WhatsApp: clear front and side photos of the area, and the dates you're considering. Pascal's FAQ describes what happens next: a coordinator passes your photos to the doctor and replies with options, so you know whether chin filler, jawline filler, under-eye filler, nasolabial fold filler, forehead filler or nose filler is worth discussing and whether your dates land on clinic days.

At Pascal Clinic, a filler clinic in Seoul, dermal filler treatment is one of the focus areas of Dr. Kang Kyoungjin, MD, PhD in Anatomy and a former professor of anatomy at Daegu Catholic University School of Medicine. Pascal doctors have also taught jawline filler and lip filler techniques to visiting doctors, including 25 dermatologists from Russia in the H.A.R.T Global HCP Program.

How many days to plan in Seoul for hyaluronic filler

Plan four short blocks: an arrival day, a treatment day, a buffer day, and the flight. Hyaluronic filler Korea trips rarely need more, because the clinic's written aftercare covers one day of restrictions. The buffer day is the part people skip, and it's the one that lets you see how the area settles before you're in the air.

BlockWhat happensWhy it's there
Arrival dayLand, check in, restJet lag and a puffy face make photos and decisions harder
Treatment dayConsultation, then injectionThe doctor confirms the plan in person first
Buffer dayWashing and makeup allowed againYou can check swelling or bruising while still in Seoul
Flight dayHead to the airportNo sauna or hard exercise was needed after day one

Does the day of the week matter?

Yes. Pascal is open Monday to Friday 10:00–19:00 and Saturday 10:00–17:00, and closed on Sundays and public holidays. Land on a Saturday evening and your treatment day becomes Monday.

Korean public holidays catch travellers out more than weekends do, so check the Korean calendar for your dates. The clinic is at 157 Dosan-daero in Sinsa-dong, a short walk from Sinsa Station (Line 3 and Shinbundang Line), Exit 8. Booking a hotel near that line keeps the treatment-day morning simple.

What to sort out before you fly in

Three things change the plan more than the flight does: your medication list, your filler history, and which area you want treated.

Tell the doctor about blood thinners and supplements you take. In general medicine, these can make bruising more likely, and a bruise is the most visible thing on a flight home. Don't stop a prescribed medicine on your own; ask the doctor who prescribed it.

If you've had filler before, write down the area, roughly when, and the product name if you know it. A previous filler changes what can safely go in the same place. This matters for anyone who was told "wait" or "difficult" at home, because the reason behind that answer is what the doctor in Seoul needs to hear.

Many readers arrive having searched product names, "Korean filler" or "filler in Seoul", and hyaluronic filler korea is a common search too, often next to "hyaluronic acid filler". According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, hyaluronic acid fillers come in different formulations used for different areas and depths. The product is chosen for the area at the consultation, and you can ask its name and write it down.

Doctor's note

Fillers are an anatomy question before they are a product question. Blood vessels in the face sit at different depths in different areas, and the same gel behaves differently above a bone than in a moving lip. That is why the area and depth are decided on your face, in person, from an exact picture of the structure underneath.

Risks and side effects: is Korean hyaluronic acid filler safe?

Korean hyaluronic acid filler safe use depends on who injects it, where, and how carefully the area's anatomy is respected. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration lists common side effects such as bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness and itching. These usually settle on their own, which is why the buffer day exists.

The FDA also describes rare but serious risks: filler accidentally injected into a blood vessel can block blood flow, causing skin damage, vision problems or, rarely, stroke. Warning signs include sudden whitening of the skin, severe pain, or any change in vision, and they need urgent care immediately, wherever you are. The FDA also warns against needleless filler pens and fillers bought online.

Filler may not suit you if the area has an active infection or inflammation, or if your medical history makes bruising or healing unpredictable. Candidacy is decided at the in-person exam. Individual results vary.

If you've had filler elsewhere, send what you know about it (area and roughly when) together with front and side photos on WhatsApp. The reply gives you options to discuss and lets you check your dates against clinic hours before you commit to a flight.

Swelling, makeup and the flight home

Pascal's aftercare for fillers is short. For the first day, avoid hot compresses, saunas and hard exercise. Washing your face and wearing makeup are fine from the next day, as long as you avoid strong rubbing or stimulation. Use sunscreen and moisturiser on the area.

The American Academy of Dermatology notes that bruising and swelling can follow filler injections. Tell the doctor your flight time on treatment day; it's useful information for planning which areas are treated on this trip. If a small bruise shows on the buffer day, concealer from the next day is usually how people handle it at the airport.

Follow-up once you're home

For a hyaluronic filler Korea trip, that means leaving Seoul with three notes: the product name, the areas treated, and the date.

Show those notes to a doctor at home if something feels wrong, and go to urgent care at once for whitening skin, severe pain or vision change. For a sense of how other trips to the clinic are planned, see the scar revision guide and Dr. Kang's profile.

The simplest first step: send front and side photos plus your travel dates on WhatsApp.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get filler in Seoul on a Saturday?

Pascal is open on Saturdays from 10:00 to 17:00, so a Saturday treatment day works if you arrive in time. The clinic is closed on Sundays and public holidays, so a late Saturday arrival pushes treatment to Monday.

Which Korean filler brand will be used on me?

The product is chosen for the area and depth at the in-person consultation. Ask the name of the product used and write it down with the areas treated, so a doctor at home can see it later.

Can I wear makeup on the plane the day after filler?

Pascal's aftercare allows washing and makeup from the day after treatment, as long as you avoid strong rubbing. Concealer over a small bruise is the usual approach.

What if a lump or bruise appears after I fly home?

Mild bruising and swelling are common after filler and usually settle. Sudden whitening of the skin, severe pain or any change in vision need urgent care immediately; bring your notes on the product and areas treated.

Do I need to stop exercising after hyaluronic acid filler?

Pascal's aftercare asks you to avoid hard exercise, saunas and hot compresses for one day after treatment. Light walking around Seoul on the buffer day is fine for most people.

I went to get MiraDry treatment, and I liked that the building was huge and the nurses and receptionists were all friendly. Maybe because the director is so cheerful, they were joking around with each other, which created a great atmosphere that really helped ease my tension and made the procedure easier. I also liked that the director didn't seem authoritarian. Getting the anesthetic injection really, really hurts, but... once the anesthesia took effect, the procedure didn't hurt at all. It seems to take about 30 minutes for each side (left and right), and since the anesthesia takes about 10 or 15 minutes to activate, it's probably best to allow at least two hours for the visit. The procedure itself really didn't hurt, and I actually dozed off lol. It was great that the director kept checking to make sure I wasn't in pain throughout the session, and the nurses massaged my arms to make sure I was okay!
