Is maxfill dermal filler hyaluronic acid Korea the combination you are searching for, and are you worried about the flight home with a bruise or swelling?
Read on before you book or pick dates.
After this post you will know what decides the cost, which filler methods to ask about, what days 0 to 14 look like, and how long to stay in Seoul.
Hello, I'm Dr. Kang Kyoungjin, Representative Director of Pascal.
I hold an MD and a PhD in Anatomy, and I have taught anatomy at a university. Pascal also hosted the H.A.R.T Global HCP Program, where 25 dermatologists from Russia trained in jawline and lip filler techniques. consultation is available.
Many people write because they assume the brand name settles everything, when the area, the amount and the days after treatment matter just as much.
The short answer: the filler visit in Seoul is the quick part, so plan the trip around the days after it. Whether Maxfill specifically is used for your area is something to ask before you book.

Maxfill is a product name that shows up when people search for maxfill dermal filler hyaluronic acid Korea, and a brand name alone tells you little about how a gel behaves in your face. What matters is the specific product the clinic injects, its approval, the amount and the depth.
Searches such as maxfill dermal filler hyaluronic acid Korea or maxfill ha filler Korea mostly lead to sellers and product sheets. Those pages describe a syringe. Your trip depends on who injects it, where, and what happens in the 48 hours after.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's consumer page on dermal fillers advises using approved products injected by a licensed provider, and it warns against fillers sold directly to the public. In Korea, medical devices such as fillers are approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. Before treatment, it's reasonable to ask:
- the product name and whether it is approved in Korea
- which areas are planned and roughly how much product per area
- whether the product is hyaluronic acid, which can generally be dissolved with an enzyme (hyaluronidase) if needed
- whether you can photograph the product label for your own records
That last one matters more for travelers than for locals. A doctor at home who later sees a lump will ask what was injected, and "some Korean filler" is not an answer they can work with.
What happens from day 0 to day 14 after hyaluronic acid filler?
The first 24 hours carry the clinic's only fixed restrictions; after that, the days are about watching swelling or bruising settle. The table puts the clinic's aftercare next to what the FDA and the American Academy of Dermatology list as common, short-lived effects.
| When | What to expect | What it means for the trip |
|---|---|---|
| Day 0 | Clinic aftercare: no hot packs, sauna or hard exercise. Redness, swelling, tenderness or small bruises at injection points are common. | A quiet evening. Skip the bathhouse and the gym. |
| Day 1 | Clinic aftercare: face washing and makeup are possible from one day after, without strong rubbing or pressure. | Light sightseeing is realistic; concealer can cover small marks. |
| Days 2 to 7 | Swelling and bruising, if present, usually fade. The area can feel firm or slightly uneven while it settles. | Unusual pain, skin color change or vision change needs a doctor the same day. Being in Seoul helps. |
| Week 2 onward | The shape has usually settled enough to judge. | Questions about adding or adjusting belong here, not on day 2. |
The clinic's aftercare also asks you to keep the treated area out of strong sun and to use sunscreen and moisturizer. If your trip includes beaches or long outdoor days, put them after treatment day and pack a hat.
Say you are flying in for a long weekend and want softer definition along the jawline, and you have a work meeting the following Monday. I would start by looking at the structure under the skin rather than at the product name, because where the filler sits decides how it looks and how it settles. Then I would ask how visible a small bruise or some swelling would be for you on that Monday. If the answer is "very", we would plan the treatment earlier in your stay and leave a buffer of weekdays before the flight, instead of fitting everything into the last day.
How many days in Seoul should a filler trip be?
Plan at least one full day between treatment and your flight, with one of the days after treatment falling on a day the clinic is open.
Pascal is open Monday to Friday 10:00 to 19:00 and Saturday 10:00 to 17:00, and closed on Sundays and public holidays. That schedule shapes the calendar more than the filler does.
Here's how that plays out for two common trip shapes, assuming the consultation and treatment fall on the same visit (confirm this when you message):
- Long weekend. Land Friday night, treatment Saturday, rest Sunday while the clinic is closed, and fly Monday evening.
- Five days. Land Wednesday, treatment Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the city with the clinic open, fly Sunday. More buffer, more time to let swelling settle before photos at home.
The long weekend works on paper. Its weak point is Sunday: if a bruise darkens or an area feels tight that day, your next chance to show it to the clinic is Monday, a few hours before your flight. The clinic is at 157 Dosan-daero in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam, a short walk from Sinsa Station (Line 3 and Shinbundang Line), Exit 8, so a hotel on either line keeps that morning visit simple.
When you write on WhatsApp, the two things that shape the calendar are your arrival and departure dates and the areas you want treated. Send both in one message, with a front and side photo, and you'll know which of the two trip shapes your plan fits before you buy a flight.

The cost depends on which product is chosen, because gels differ in firmness and in where they are placed. It also depends on how much is needed and how many areas you want treated, since lips, jawline and cheeks need very different amounts. Whether numbing is used, and whether you need a second visit, changes the plan too. Your days in Korea matter as well: if you want a check before flying home, that affects how you schedule the treatment. To get a figure for your own case, send a clear front and side photo on WhatsApp and ask for it there.
Risks, and the situations where waiting makes sense
Hyaluronic acid filler is a medical procedure with real risks. The FDA lists bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, itching and rash as common. Lumps and uneven areas are less common. Rarely, filler is injected into a blood vessel, which can cause skin damage, vision problems including blindness, or stroke.
That rare event is the reason for the second day in Seoul. Severe or spreading pain, skin that turns pale or dusky, or any change in vision after filler needs a doctor immediately, wherever you are.
Situations where many doctors postpone filler include an active skin infection or cold sore near the area, planned dental work or other procedures in the same days, and blood-thinning medication that raises the bruising risk. Tell the clinic about medications and any previous filler or surgery in the area, including the product name if you have it. Whether filler suits your face, and how much, is decided at the in-person exam. Individual results vary.
Doctor's note
I came to aesthetic medicine from anatomy, and I still read a face as structure first. With filler, the questions that matter are where the vessels run, which layer the product sits in, and how the area moves when you talk and smile. A brand name answers none of those. If you remember one thing from this page, ask your doctor which layer and how much, not only which product.
What to take home for your own doctor
Carry a short record: the product name and label photo, the treated areas, the date, and the clinic's address and phone number (+82-2-2135-1406). If anything changes once you're home, a local doctor can act faster with that in hand.
The CDC also suggests telling your regular doctor about medical travel and keeping copies of your records. For hyaluronic acid filler, the label photo is the part people most often forget, and it's the part a doctor needs if dissolving with hyaluronidase is ever discussed.
When filler isn't the right tool
On Pascal's own filler page, the cases listed are deep lines around the nose and mouth, hollow areas such as the forehead, chin and under the eyes, and refining lines of the nose and chin. Filler adds volume. It doesn't lift loose skin.
If your concern is sagging along the jaw or cheeks, an energy-based option may fit better; the comparison of Ultherapy and Ultherapy Prime in Seoul covers that side. If you are also weighing eyelid work on the same trip, the guide to buried-suture double eyelid surgery in Seoul explains its own aftercare, which is longer than filler's. For the procedure page itself, see dermal fillers at Pascal, and Dr. Kang's background is on his profile.
On WhatsApp, send your travel dates and a clear front and side photo of your face, and ask one question: which filler product would be used for the area you care about? One photo is enough, and you can ask before booking anything. When you come to the clinic, I will examine you and recommend what fits your face and your schedule.
Frequently asked questions
Does Pascal Clinic use Maxfill filler?
The clinic's published pages describe fillers such as hyaluronic acid and don't list brand names. Ask on WhatsApp which product would be used for your area, and ask to photograph the label on the day for your records.
Can I fly the day after hyaluronic acid filler in Korea?
The clinic's aftercare restricts hot packs, saunas and hard exercise on day 0, and rare problems such as a blocked blood vessel need a same-day doctor, so staying near the clinic for the first days is the practical choice.
How long does hyaluronic acid filler last?
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons describes hyaluronic acid fillers as temporary, with the body gradually absorbing them over months. The product, the area and how much that area moves all play a part.
Can hyaluronic acid filler be removed if I don't like it?
Hyaluronic acid filler can generally be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. That is one reason to know exactly which product was injected, so a doctor at home or in Seoul can plan it.
Are Korean dermal fillers different from fillers at home?
Many Korean dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid gels, the same class used in many countries. Approval differs by country, so ask whether the product is approved in Korea and keep its name for your doctor at home.
