Dermal Fillers Korea Cost on a Short Trip: What Sets It? Reviews, Methods & Recovery | Pascal

Dermal fillers Korea cost: is it a figure you can know before you land in Seoul, or only after someone has looked at your face?

Read this before you set the money and the days aside.

You'll come away knowing what moves the cost of filler here, which review claims hold up, how the methods differ and what recovery looks like on a short trip. That's enough to judge what fits your face and your budget.

Hello, I'm Dr. Kang Kyoungjin, Representative Director at Pascal Clinic in Sinsa-dong, Seoul. I hold a PhD in anatomy and taught anatomy at Daegu Catholic University School of Medicine before I moved into plastic surgery.

Fillers are one of the areas I focus on. Our list prices are published on this site in Korean won, before 10% VAT.

I wrote this because many people budget for filler by the syringe, when the bigger question is whether filler is the right tool for the change they want.

The cost of dermal fillers in Korea is set by which areas you treat, how much gel each one needs and which gel is used. Final quotes follow your exam, because the right amount depends on your anatomy.

If you'd like a first read on your own face, send clear front and side photos on WhatsApp and name the one area that bothers you most. A question about one area leads to a more useful answer than “how much is filler?”

What moves the cost of filler in Seoul?

Five things decide what you'd pay. Only one of them is the per-session price on the list.

  • Which areas. Cheeks, temples, under-eye hollows, chin, lips and the nose line are different jobs. One area and three areas are different quotes.
  • How much each area needs. Volume loss is rarely even. A deep hollow on one side may need more gel than a mild one on the other. At Pascal, the gel and the amount are chosen at the consultation.
  • Which gel. Hyaluronic acid gels differ in firmness, and some fillers work by a different mechanism altogether. A firm gel suited to a chin is a different product from a soft one for lips.
  • Whether filler is the right tool. If the width you dislike comes from bone, filler can't narrow it. That's a structural question, covered in our cheekbone reduction surgery travel guide. If skin has loosened and dropped, more gel adds weight rather than lift.
  • Your days in Seoul. How many days you have decides whether a check before you fly, or a small extra session while you're still here, is possible at all.

That's the dermal fillers Korea cost question in practice: the figure follows the plan, and the plan follows your face. Our dermal fillers page explains what the treatment involves. To get the figure for your own case, ask on WhatsApp what it would cost for the areas you have in mind.

Is filler the right tool for what you see in the mirror?

Often the line you notice is not where the volume was lost.

My training is in anatomy, and I build a filler plan from structure rather than feel. I think about where the bone sits, where the fat compartments have thinned, where ligaments hold the skin down and where the larger vessels run. A plan built that way can use less gel in a better place than a plan that fills every line you point to.

Volume and loose skin are different problems, on the face as on the body. When sagging is the main change, I would rather tell you filler is the wrong spend than add syringes that make your lower face heavier. A facelift or non-surgical lifting then comes into the conversation, each with its own recovery and risks.

If your eyelids are part of what bothers you, our guide to buried-suture double eyelid surgery in Seoul covers the eyelid side of the question before you spend anything on the area around them.

Doctor's note

An eyelid is a moving mechanism, and so is the rest of the face. I want filler to sit where it supports how your face moves when you talk and smile, as well as how it looks in a still photo. When a plan only makes sense from the front, in a mirror, without expression, I would change the plan before I would add more gel.

If you've had filler before, add roughly when it was done and which areas it went into, along with a side photo in daylight. Old gel changes how much new gel an area needs, and that changes your figure.

Filler recovery on a five-day trip

Say you're 52, flying in from Toronto for five days. What bothers you is a flattened mid-cheek and deeper lines from nose to mouth. Here is how I would reason about it.

Start with the cheek, before the fold. If the fold softens when the cheek is lifted gently, restoring volume in the cheek is likely to do more than gel placed in the line itself. That can also mean fewer areas on your quote.

Then timing. Book the treatment early in the trip, never on your last day. Bruising and swelling usually ease over the following days, and you want time to come back if something feels off. Our hours are Monday to Friday 10:00–19:00 and Saturday 10:00–17:00, and we're closed on Sundays and public holidays. If you're treated on a Saturday, the next day you could come back is Monday.

Then the first day afterwards. Our aftercare asks you to skip hot packs, saunas and hard workouts for a day, and to wait until the next day to wash your face and wear makeup. Keep the area out of strong sun and use sunscreen and moisturizer. A day of museums works; a spa day doesn't.

What do filler reviews get right, and what do they miss?

Review threads repeat a handful of claims. Some hold up, some don't.

“You'll look puffy for a few days.” Mostly true. The FDA lists bruising, redness, swelling, pain and tenderness among the common side effects. Lips and under-eyes tend to swell more visibly than cheeks.

“Filler lasts for years.” It depends on the product. The American Academy of Dermatology notes that results from most fillers are temporary, and hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down by the body.

“One syringe is enough for the whole face.” Rarely, in my view. A quote built on one syringe spread over several areas often ends in a thin result or a second purchase.

“It's only an injection, so who does it hardly matters.” This is the claim I disagree with most strongly. The FDA warns that filler accidentally injected into a blood vessel can block blood flow and cause skin damage, vision problems and, rarely, stroke. Knowing where the vessels run is why anatomy matters here.

Hyaluronic acid, collagen-stimulating fillers or your own fat: which method?

Hyaluronic acid gels are what people usually mean by filler. Their practical advantage is that an enzyme, hyaluronidase, can dissolve them if a result needs correcting or a complication appears.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons describes other types, such as calcium hydroxylapatite and poly-L-lactic acid, which work partly by prompting your own collagen. They can't be dissolved the same way. I'm more cautious with them in areas where a misplaced result would be hard to undo.

Your own fat is a third option when volume loss covers more than a few areas. I developed SAFI, a lifting fat-grafting method, and facial fat grafting with liposuction is on our menu. Our figures: about 30 minutes to an hour, under local or sleep anesthesia, with light daily life possible in 3–5 days. Fat needs a harvest site, and part of the transferred fat may not survive, so the cost and the recovery both look different from filler.

Risks, and when to wait

Risks and side effects to know

Common and temporary: redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness and small lumps at the injection points. For many people these ease within days.

As general medical guidance, wait or skip filler if you have an infection, cold sore or inflamed skin at the area, or a recent laser treatment or peel there. The same applies if you take isotretinoin, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are allergic to a filler ingredient or to local anesthetics such as lidocaine. Mention blood thinners and supplements that increase bruising.

Rare but serious: filler entering a blood vessel. Warning signs are pain out of proportion, skin turning pale, dusky or blotchy, or any change in your vision. If that happens after you fly home, go to an emergency department straight away, because a blocked vessel needs fast treatment. Then send photos and your treatment date on WhatsApp. For lumps or swelling that won't settle, see a local doctor and send photos as well.

Individual results vary. Ask for the risks of each planned area before you agree to the plan.

What to send first

On WhatsApp, send front and side photos in daylight, the areas you'd like to change and your travel dates, plus one question: “is filler the right tool for this?” A coordinator passes your photos to your surgeon and replies with options and the matching price-list lines. When you come in, I examine your face and recommend the plan that fits it.

Frequently asked questions

Is the filler price on your list the final price?

The list shows per-session prices in Korean won, before 10% VAT. Final quotes follow your exam, because the right areas and amount depend on your anatomy.

Can hyaluronic acid filler be dissolved if I don't like it?

Generally yes. Hyaluronic acid gels can be broken down with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Collagen-stimulating fillers such as poly-L-lactic acid can't be dissolved the same way.

Which doctor does filler at Pascal?

Fillers are one of Dr. Kang Kyoungjin's focus areas, alongside eyelid surgery, fat grafting and lifting. You meet your surgeon at your consultation.

When can I wash my face and wear makeup after filler?

Our aftercare says washing and makeup are fine from the day after treatment. Skip hot packs, saunas and hard workouts for the first day, and protect the area from strong sun.

Can I add another treatment to the same Seoul trip?

Possibly, but swelling from one treatment can make another harder to judge. Tell us everything you're considering in your first message so the timing can be discussed before you book.

I went to get MiraDry treatment, and I liked that the building was huge and the nurses and receptionists were all friendly. Maybe because the director is so cheerful, they were joking around with each other, which created a great atmosphere that really helped ease my tension and made the procedure easier. I also liked that the director didn't seem authoritarian. Getting the anesthetic injection really, really hurts, but... once the anesthesia took effect, the procedure didn't hurt at all. It seems to take about 30 minutes for each side (left and right), and since the anesthesia takes about 10 or 15 minutes to activate, it's probably best to allow at least two hours for the visit. The procedure itself really didn't hurt, and I actually dozed off lol. It was great that the director kept checking to make sure I wasn't in pain throughout the session, and the nurses massaged my arms to make sure I was okay!
